I'm working with a global leader in manufacturing and maintenance services for the energy industry who are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join their team in Great Yarmouth. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Manage project activities, directing Project Engineers and collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Design hydraulic/pneumatic systems in compliance with project specifications.
- Handle financial aspects of projects, including expenditure, profit, and contract variations.
- Ensure project schedules are met, maintain progress knowledge, and prepare monthly reports.
- Interpret and implement technical and commercial project specifications.
- Oversee procurement and conduct technical evaluations to maintain cost efficiency.
- Prepare equipment test programs, ensuring compliance with commercial conditions.
QHSE
- Demonstrate personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and the Environment.
- Follow client's QHSE Policies and Safety Management Systems where appropriate.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lead by example.
Person Specification
- Education & Training: Honours Degree or HNC in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Skills & Competencies: Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, resilient and calm under pressure.
- General & Specialist Knowledge: Understanding and implementation of engineering specifications, experience in managing engineering contracts and commercial negotiations, proficient in Windows-based software.
- Relevant Experience: Proven track record in designing Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Electrical topside equipment for the Oil & Gas Industry, good working knowledge/understanding of Hazardous Area rules and regulations (ATEX, CSA, IECEX), Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), and Machinery Directive.
