Sue Hill Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working in partnership with Tata Global, who are seeking to recruit a Senior Project Manager.

This role provides a bridge between the Operational and Commercial sides of the business managing both New Product Development/ Innovation & Product Change Projects. There is need to manage and influence a diverse array of cross-functional teams and relationships, towards a common goal, across all functions in the TCP international business to successfully deliver projects in accordance with the required quality standards, whilst managing costs and time constraints, in order to achieve the planned benefits.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Regional Project & Portfolio Management:

• Manage and lead a team of Project Managers towards delivering a portfolio of Innovation and Product Change Projects, within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements for international business.
• Anticipate risks and issues, based on state of projects/programs, and assess and create mitigation plans and help resolve project and process issues highlighted by the local projects team.
• Provide coordinated management of project interdependencies to achieve strategic objectives, helping to optimize the utilization of resources and to reduce project constraints to deliver all projects.
• Provide timely, accurate and relevant international business project and portfolio reporting to ensure all project team members and stakeholders are kept fully informed.
• Manage and track various projects and provide regular updates to the local Executive Team
• Work closely with Project teams across regions to identify and influence supply side and developmental synergies.
• For self-managed projects, define assigned projects in conjunction with the business stakeholders and facilitate in establishing key operational purpose, deliverables, goals and results from projects briefs submitted, responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects to time, cost and quality deliverables.
• Support Innovation Strategy:
  
  • Providing support and strategic insight for the planning and timing of all major initiatives
  • Resource planning and project allocation across GP regions
  • Providing region inputs to facilitate project prioritization across global pipeline.
  • Training, mentoring and guiding of Project Managers.
  • Maintaining awareness of team engagement; identifying and responding to key challenges and areas of opportunity
  • Region Stakeholder Management
  • Establish strong business partnerships with other departments to resolve issues quickly and capture opportunities.
  • Develop relationships and key partnerships with external vendors.
  • Providing inputs for budget and resource requirements

Person Specification:

To be great at this job you will need:

• Operating with an agile mindset requiring flexible project management methodologies Adaptable to a fast paced, ambiguous and quickly changing environment, able to prioritize and multi-task, to meet critical deadlines.
• Demonstrate high level in Project Management competencies and techniques, including organisational & planning skills, time management & risk management with a track record of successful delivery - Qualified to Practitioner level in Project Management
• Provide leadership, facilitation, and coordination in the resolution of critical issues and projects with cross functional input.
• Ability to work with and lead senior business partners in prioritization and planning discussions/decisions and provide the right information to allow those decisions to be made.
• Excellent knowledge of processes and procedures across supply chain, and operations and good awareness and familiarity of multiple business disciplines - R&D, Regulatory and Compliance, Logistics, Purchasing, IT, Sales & Marketing
• Excellent influencing, negotiation and presentation and communication skills coupled with good leadership traits.
• Excellent analytical, Problem solving, planning, verbal and numerical dexterity & reasoning skills and IT skills.
• Good educational background - Degree. Higher desirable
• Proven people management & coaching skills to enable results from others, inspiring and motivating others.

You will need to be able to influence:

• Cross functional, multi-cultural and often virtual teams in a matrix structure, across geographies and navigating through conflicting advice and opinions on how a project and the business should proceed, including senior functional & CFT and senior regional leadership.
• External relationships to influence would span a host of goods and service providers across Contract manufacturers, packaging development & suppliers.
