On behalf of M&G, AMS is looking for a Senior Project Manager, based in Stirling, Edinburgh, Reading, or London, for a duration until the end of 2024 (Hybrid Working).

Purpose of the Role:

In this role within the Heritage business unit's Change & Transformation team, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of medium to highly complex projects. This involves driving the definition of business cases, project objectives, scope, and resource allocation to align with our Heritage principles and M&G's broader strategy. Additionally, you will oversee the implementation of project management methodologies, offer guidance to the project team, and ensure the successful realization of expected benefits.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of medium to highly complex projects.
  • Defining the business case, project objectives, scope, resources, and expected outcomes.
  • Implementing and adhering to project management methodologies and governance.
  • Providing direction and confidence to the project team to deliver expected benefits.
  • Managing conflicts and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Communicating project outcomes/benefits across the organisation.
  • Creating and maintaining high-quality project plans.
  • Evaluating delivery options and team performance.
  • Providing regular forecasts of required resources.
  • Adhering to governance standards and producing timely management information.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks and dependencies.
  • Completing handover to BAU and business benefits realization activities.
  • Managing resource planning and motivating the project team.
  • Conducting training workshops to improve project and change management capabilities

What we require from the candidate:

  • Confident and effective communicator (both written and verbal) across all levels of the organisation, capable of facilitating medium to large-sized workshops and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Ability to motivate, influence, and constructively challenge when necessary.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the capacity to build and maintain strong relationships across the business and with external parties, including key delivery partners.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills, adept at managing multiple projects, resources, priorities, and deliverables to tight deadlines.
  • Passionate about fostering a work environment that embraces and values diversity.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to articulate complex ideas/concepts to stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficient in anticipating, prioritizing, and resolving issues using problem-solving and analytical skills
