As an experienced Senior Project Manager you will be highly skilled and currently working for a project management consultancy. Playing an important role in the daily coordination, management, and execution of project processes and used to managing a project end to end. Collaborating with all business stakeholders and creating and managing a plan of action which considers a fixed timeline evaluating risks. This project offers a wide range of facilities and infrastructure from high end housing, commercial facilities, sporting and food beverage concepts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • You will have allocated projects to manage and deliver. These will require collaboration with the project development team lead and could be any area across the project portfolio of real estate, hospitality and renovation projects at Taymouth Castle, Kenmore Village or Glenlyon estate.
  • You will establish project teams and identify specialist consultants to conduct site investigations and survey requirements.
  • Develop scope of services and Request for Proposals (RFP’s) for procurement of consultants and contractors.
  • Assess fee proposals to ensure value for money in conjunction with development team lead.
  • Establish protocols and procedures, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities are defined for all stakeholders.
  • Develop and monitor programme of works ensuring key milestones are achieved to a high standard.
  • Chair and minute project meetings, and proactively follow up on actions.
  • Create a project Risk Register and manage risks and mitigation measures.
  • Oversee the cost management service and assist where required.
  • Assist in the preparation of all contract documentation along with the Quantity Surveyor (QS), lead design consultant, and manage the tender process.
  • Prepare reports in an agreed format (monthly weekly)
  • Effectively manage and communicate with project stakeholders.
  • Manage projects using 'Procure' software system and ensure all required inputs and updates are regularly provided.
  • Manage design team in conjunction with the development team lead ensuring timely delivery of design deliverables.
  • Ensure robust tender documentation is issued and manage tender process.
  • Manage change control in conjunction with the Contract Administrator
  • Timely resolution of bottlenecks is delivered to minimise any impact to programme.
  • Participate in regular site visits to review progress and safety in conjunction with Construction, Design and Management (CDM), Consultant and development team lead.
  • Ensure all handover documents are transferred in a timely manner and liaise with Operations to ensure a smooth and efficient handover.
  • Ensure projects are closed out in line with project requirements.
  • Professionally respond to client project related requests during design and construction phase.
  • Be prepared to support other areas across the Taymouth Castle Golf Sport Club or as directed, when necessary and when reasonably required.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ideally you will have worked as a Senior Project Manager for a project management consultancy.
  • Experienced in project management, project development management or project construction management particularly in real estate and hospitality, new build residential and listed building renovation or relevant fields.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in project management, built environment, Construction management or another related field.
  • Chartered MCIOB or MRICS or equivalent required.
  • Hold a valid CSCS card or an equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a completed project to manage full project cycle and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of using 'Procure' or equivalent software would be an advantage.
  • Possess strong commercial awareness.
  • Have an effective organised approach.
  • Good 'technical savvy' skills alongside being computer literate.
  • Sound knowledge and application of Scottish building and planning regulations.
  • Ability to manage and effectively collaborate with various departments and stakeholders including design consultants, with the ability to confidently challenge contractors and consultants as and when required.
