Senior Project Manager- Data Migration-51-57K

VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a SeniorProject Manager for a major project currently ongoing in NI. This Project Manager role will run initially for 6 months (with possibility of extension). This role will need an experienced candidate and is an immediate requirement, the successful candidate will be available to start as soon as possible. The role is full time hours and hybrid working.

Modernisation of Finance, Procurement and HR technologies and replacing current managed services contracts

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the creation of a Data Strategy and Data Roadmap.
• Lead and plan the scoping, planning, mapping and execution of data migration activities required for the programme.
• Work with the key stakeholders, subject matter experts and ancillary department representatives’ support for record as-is mapping and validation of the quality of data migration.
• Work closely with the interface team, application build teams, and technical teams to ensure that conversions meet the expectations of end users
• Coordinate and manage the activities of the team of Data Specialists.
• Assist in the procurement, installation and configuration of Data Quality Tools.
• Assist in creation of a Data Archiving and Data Cleansing Strategy.
• Assess and scope Data Archiving options based on current volumes and existing archiving architecture.
• Liaise with third party vendors to migrate data from systems marked for replacement by equip.
• Lead on implementing proportionate business and technology governance arrangements.
• Develop and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation based on up-to-date research findings, available technology and relevant good practice.
• Be responsible for engaging with related projects across HSC to seek opportunities to share learning and support where feasible.

The Ideal Person:

• A university degree or professional qualification and worked for at least 3 years in the last 5 years in a technical delivery role delivering large scale data migration projects using industry standard tools, with experience of leading a team of technical specialists.
• Have worked for at least 7 years in a project management role within a major organisation
• Have previous experience utilising a project methodology (e.g. PRINCE 2, other similar methodology).
