NHS Talking Therapies Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner - with 10% Golden Hello Bonus Pay and relocation costs!
Please note that you will need to have a minimum of 1-year post qualification experience in an Talking Therapies (IAPT) service and supervisory experience.

Please note that this post involves being able to work at least one evening session per week (12pm – 8pm).
You will have the opportunity to:
  • Lead on specialist interests & service development within the Step 2 Team.
  • Line manage staff.
  • Provide supervision of staff.
We are very proud of the excellent professional psychological service we provide to our clients and the many excellent outcomes we achieve. You will help us provide an even better service in the future by delivering mental health screening assessments and psychological interventions (including more complex cases appropriate to Step 2 work) with the support of a qualified member of the team, and working independently according to a plan agreed with line manager within the framework of our policies and procedures.
You will take pride in:
  • Supporting the Step 2 Lead/Senior Management Team to ensure the smooth operation of the Step 2 team.
  • Assisting in clinically related admin, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
  • Supporting the step 2 team via the provision of supervision and line management.
  • Supporting and inducting new staff to the Step 2 Team.
  • Working with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary. You should be committed to equal opportunities.
  • Screening new referrals and making decisions about the suitability of referrals. Offering a range of treatment options including GSH, online treatment, groups.

The Hounslow Talking Therapies service is provided by West London NHS Trust in partnership with our third party counselling provider and Twining Enterprise.
The service operates from a main hub in Isleworth, with clinics also run from sites in Feltham, Brentford, Chiswick and Hounslow Central and Hounslow West.

We have a well-established Step 2 team consisting of; Assistant Psychologists, Assistant PWPs, Trainee PWPs, PWPs, Community Engagement PWP, Senior PWPs, and Lead PWP. The team provides a range of brief cognitive behavioural-based interventions such as guided self-help (face-to-face, video, telephone and online), workshops and groups (including co-facilitation of step 3 groups), in addition to telephone and face-to-face assessments.
You will also be able to engage in team reflective practice sessions and wellbeing events.
We have recently had positive feedback from a staff survey where we scored highly in regard to perceptions of the quality of care staff felt able to provide, levels of support, feeling valued and in equality and diversity.
