As Senior Quality Engineer Supervisor you will take a lead role within the Quality team and play an active role in the site leadership team, supporting the Honeywell integrated supply chain. You will provide day to day guidance and leadership to the quality team in a lean manufacturing arena. Maintain and develop process and product conformance and enhancements, whilst reducing variation to improve customer experience. The role is a pro-active and hands-on role promoting the maintenance and development of site/global quality systems. Responsible for quality metrics, quality techniques, customer complaints and quality investigations within Honeywell Industrial Safety European operations. This is a 100% onsite role based in Poole.
- Overall responsibility for leading Quality activities at Poole, providing day to day leadership and guidance to the team and Quality signatory for documented changes and permits within the capacity of the site.
- Drive the Quality team to support the Honeywell integrated supply chain, maintain and develop process conformance, BIQ and NPI and align with site leadership improvement projects.
- Responsible for the implementation and upkeep of the Quality Management System and all activities related to upholding the ISO9001 and ATEX accreditations whilst supporting other key functions to ensure conformity to other accreditation standards.
- Responsible for customer complaints, leading investigations, coordinating product holds and maintain record keeping in TeamGuru ensuring swift resolution of customer issues. Drive investigations to their full conclusion with robust corrective actions and maintain customer feedback.
- Facilitate investigations to resolve quality issues, including running root cause analysis, closing RAIL items and supporting the evolution of the business culture and global Quality team.
- Ensure Site Quality Maturity Matrix is maintained and continuous improvement actions are defined.
- When required, support and guide the inspection department to ensure critical parts conform to standard.
- Monitor supplier performance and non-conformities and ensure team engage when issues arise supporting robust corrective and preventive action. Support supplier transitions when required.
- Travel to suppliers within Europe and occasionally globally (no more than 20% of work)
- HNC or equivalent on job learning and experience within an Engineering discipline
- ISO Lead auditor in 9001, beneficial if also hold 14001 or 18001
- Internal and Supplier audit experience
- Previous Quality Engineering experience minimum 3 years
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Familiarity with quality tools, statistical process methods and business metrics and their application in pursuit of quality.
- Solid knowledge of Quality tools and techniques with the aim of continuous improvement
- Willingness to learn the ISO: 9001, 14001, 18001, EN13980 Quality Management Systems
- Willingness to learn and apply quality tools, statistical process methods and business metrics with the aim to apply them in pursuit of quality.
