This is an amazing opportunity to work for an industry leading tier 1 contractor as a Quantity Surveyor to assist with a number of station and platform projects around the UK. This will mainly consist of working with JCT and NEC4 contracts. Job Spec
Working within the Rail team, supporting them with the commercial aspects on a wide range of rail infrastructure projects for a diverse customer base. The projects range from major improvements to complete construction of new stations, with specialist teams, we manage complex works from conception through to delivery.
Duties
Support the commercial teams in securing maximum sustainable value from contracts, and in managing subcontractors firmly and fairly.
Compile monthly application for payment to Client and track the certification.
Prepare monthly regional CV and forecast reports.
Compile, submit and agree the financial effects of variations.
Compile Project specific commercial issues for reporting and presentation at Client progress meetings
Candidates
This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
Hold the relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree in Quantity Surveying)
You have experience within the rail, construction or civils industry. (Ideally rail)
Experience within a similar role
Experience of identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
Salary
GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 per annum
DOE + GBP5k car allowance or company car
Location: Manchester + hybrid working

Requirements
Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying
Experience working on Rail station or platform projects
