Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to join a well-respected main contractor with the opportunity to lead your own schemes in flat-structured business.
We are working with a well-established forward-thinking main contractor that specialises in delivering high-quality new build and refurbishment projects for clients across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Buckinghamshire areas.
With an unrivalled reputation, they work on a variety of projects across a variety of sectors including commercial office, education works, hospital/healthcare, leisure and retail. Typical project value range from £500k to £30m.
As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor you will join a project team and take responsibility for the commercial management of 1-2 schemes. You will be involved in all aspects of quantity surveying, from procurement and tendering, to contract administration, cost control, valuation, and final accounts. Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers this is a key role within the business and comes with excellent progression prospects
Requirements for the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the new build / refurbishment sectors within a main contracting environment.
- A thorough knowledge of building contracts, construction law, and standard methods of measurement
- A good understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contracts including design & build.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- A proactive, flexible, and problem-solving approach
