As the company continues to expand its portfolio, a dynamic and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is sought to join the team.

Job Description:

The company is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in its growth. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor the individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost management, procurement, and contractual matters related to construction projects. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the company and work on prestigious residential developments in and around Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Management:

   • Oversee the cost planning and management of construction projects from inception to completion.
   • Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide accurate estimates for budgets.

2. Procurement:

   • Lead the procurement process, including the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
   • Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure favourable terms and conditions.

3. Contractual Matters:

   • Manage all contractual aspects of projects, including claims and variations.
   • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and mitigate risks.

4. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with the project team, including architects, engineers, and site managers, to achieve project goals.
   • Collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve any issues that may arise during construction.

5. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.
   • Monitor project costs and provide insights to optimise financial performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on residential construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
