Title: Senior Radioactive Waste Consultant
Location: Preston/Oxfordshire
Duration: Permanent
Salary: DOE
Skills and qualifications:
* Degree in a physical science OR equivalent training/experience
* Significant proven experience in Radioactive Waste management with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
* Proven experience in two or more of the following: decommissioning, characterisation, disposability assessments, application of the environmental legislation, production of BAT/BPM assessments, DQO application and waste assay techniques.
* Able to prioritise based on business needs and lead on certain projects.

Key responsibilities:
* Be integral to the delivery of technical projects, producing high quality deliverables and working both independently and as part of a team.
* Play a fundamental role in the development of other team members.
* Able to use problem solving skills on challenging in Radioactive Waste management issues.
* Knowledge of the Radioactive Waste management lifecycle and be able to align approaches across the project and applicable national policies and legislation.
* Develop an open environment of continuous improvement of project/ programme including performing environmental permitting and assessment requirements (e.g. BPM).
* Maintain a strong customer focus and able to maintain and develop client relationships.
* Able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
