Job description

Newcastle Hospitals has an outstanding reputation for its Interventional Radiology expertise, providing life-saving diagnostic and therapeutic treatment for patients from all over the North East and North CumbriaThis post is suitable for a state registered radiographer with post-graduate experience who demonstrates a clear programme of knowledge development. Opportunities for further training and development are available. Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential, and knowledge of the current radiation legislation is required. The applicant should hold a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent and have HCPC registration. Responsibility for ensuring effective and efficient day to day operation of the relevant imaging service, on site, supporting the modality Team Lead and Superintendent Radiographers. To be part of a team delivering a high quality efficient and effective radiographic service, to make an informed decision on the diagnostic images required and demonstrate a professional, caring and responsible approach to patients. To ensure local protocols and defined working practices are adhered to.
