The main duties of the Senior Registered Nurse - Critical Care role include:
- Ensuring the consistent maintenance of patient care standards according to established operational policies and procedures.
- Striving to uphold and elevate customer service and satisfaction for service users.
- Advocating for the well-being and interests of Patients, Employees, and Consultants while serving as a mentor for junior team members.
- When necessary, stepping in as a substitute for the Sister/Charge Nurse and leading clinical shifts.
- Guaranteeing the delivery of personalized patient care with a focus on maintaining exceptional individual care standards.
- Serving as a guardian for patient welfare and exhibiting the bravery to raise concerns regarding care.
- Conducting oneself professionally in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Codes of Professional Conduct and the standards set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Registered Nurse at level 1 with a Diploma or BSc in nursing studies.
- Demonstration of relevant ongoing clinical professional development, preferably supported by RN certification and valid NMC Registration.
- Possession of a Mentorship Qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent).
- Familiarity with the NMC Code of Accountability.
- Strong clinical knowledge rooted in evidence-based practices and aligned with national best practice standards.
- An appropriate amount of experience post-registration.
- Completion of a Critical Care Course combined with a suitable level of hands-on experience.
