Job description

The role The post holder will support work by members of the newly established Centre for Applied Excellence in Skin & Allergy Research (CAESAR) in delivering the TOPIC (Transform Outcomes for Paediatric allergy In primary Care) programme of work. CAESAR has been established as part of the NIHR Research Professorship.  Dedicated to meeting the pressing clinical and research needs of children with eczema and/or food allergy, it is a multi-disciplinary group of 20 people from on-going studies (ATHENA and TIGER trials) and research planned as part of the TOPIC programme. Co-located within the Centre for Academic Primary Care, it has a dedicated programme manager and administrator to support team members deliver an ambitious and exciting programme of work. What will you be doing? The role holder will initiate and take responsibility for systematic reviews. They will be involved in administration relevant to their projects (e.g., helping to prepare bids for research funding), managing other researchers and monitoring research budgets. They will undertake research individually and collectively and they will be publishing regularly in high quality journals. You should apply if The role holder will have, among other qualities: extensive experience of initiating, designing and implementing successful research projects, including working as Principal Investigator; a track record of high-quality publications; excellent written and oral communication skills; and a commitment to team-working.
