Senior Research MRI Radiographer – West London
Overview:
The Senior MRI research radiographer will be responsible for the routine day-to-day operation of the MR & PETMR imaging suites to support activities necessary to conduct Imaging/Experimental Medicine Studies. Experience with 3 Tesla MR scanning in Siemens and GE, as well as PETMR and research experience would be highly desirable. Interest in cross training in PETCT as part of career progression would be encouraged.
Essential Functions:
- To safely and efficiently perform high quality MRI & PETMR scans.
- To ensure high standards of ICH/GCP compliance and patient care are maintained.
- Able to take on a leadership role in absence of Lead MR Radiographer
- Flexible working pattern to cover scheduled scans and scan schedule adjustments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in MRI, preferably at a senior level.
- Experience of work within the research environment and with Siemens and GE MR scanners is highly desirable.
- Experience of work in PETMR is desirable.
- Safe patient/ manual handling in an MRI environment.
Qualifications:
- BSc Radiography or equivalent work experience.
- Radiographer registration with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Current ICH-GCP training
- Current Intermediate Life Support Training
