Our ambitious financial client is looking for a Senior Reserving Analyst to join their Reserving team on a permanent basis. This Senior Reserving Analyst will be responsible for the analysis of key trends and patterns in data in relation to claim Reserves to inform critical business decisions.

Location: Remote

Responsibilities for the Senior Reserving Analyst:

• Provide analysis and insights on claims reserves, serving as the go-to expert for the Reserving Team.
• Conduct quarterly reviews of reserves, ensuring appropriate application of loss reserving techniques and expert judgment.
• Lead data validation tasks, ensuring accuracy in reserving exercises and recommending process improvements.
• Monthly monitoring of claim performance, supporting the actuarial input into the monthly Claims review meeting.
• Involvement in Solvency II technical provision calculations and related regulatory returns.
• Periodic analysis of reserve risk, quantifying and communicating the range of uncertainty around the actuarial best estimate.

Skills and Experience for the Senior Reserving Analyst:

Essential:

• Strong reserving experience involving practical application of statistical techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for detail and advanced problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
