Senior Residential Childcare Worker

Your new role
Senior Residential Childcare Worker advocates proactively for each young person's needs, rights and views and ensure that these are met. They also make certain that each young person's individuality, difference and diversity are always appreciated and that the young people are provided with equal opportunities and are not discriminated against.
Each young person will be encouraged to be involved in all aspects of their care which involves skill development, problem-solving and assessment of risk, while being mindful of their individual capabilities.
You will support the Service Manager in providing the best quality childcare in a safe and care focussed environment for the young people. You will also be responsible for monitoring, and supervision of staff and take responsibility for the day to day management, and guidance of colleagues whilst ensuring the welfare and care of the young people.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be qualified to NVQ3 Child / QCF and have previous experience of supporting traumatised children and young people. They are looking for committed individuals who are looking to invest their time and energy in changing these young peoples lives for the better.
