Senior Residential Support Worker

About the role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing the day-to-day care of children and young people who are living in our clients' homes. You will work with a team of experienced professionals to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for the residents.

This is a full time permanent role what involves working sleep in shifts and long hours. All applicants must be drivers with a full UK driving licence and their own vehicle. 

Responsibilities

• Basic care of children – assisting and ensuring good personal care, health care and recreational activities
• Monitor health and well-being
• Plan and deliver activities that meet the individual needs of each resident
• Support residents with their education and training
• Utilise own transport in order to transport/support young people to and from school, health appointments etc
• Liaise with parents, carers and other professionals
• Maintain accurate records
• Assist the management team to ensure that all responsibilities at the residential homes are met

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
• 2 years residential experience or similar
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable
• Full UK driving license and own vehicle
• Right to Work in the UK full time (sponsorship not available)
