Role Overview: As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the children’s service. You will support the team in delivering the highest standards of care and support to the residents. Your leadership and dedication will be vital in ensuring a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for the children and young people in care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and support to a team of Residential Support Workers.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, adhering to all regulatory and organisational standards.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
- Manage administrative duties including scheduling, reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of care practices and service delivery.
- Work long days and sleep-ins as part of a flexible work schedule.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 3/4 qualification in Children and Young People.
- Full UK Driving License.
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a similar setting.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to the well-being of children and young people with learning disabilities.
