If you would like to build a career that gives you genuine sense of achievement and fulfilment knowing that you can have a positive impact on the young people we support, then look no further and apply today!
Our brand new Children's Homes are recruiting for Senior Residential Support Workers now! We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our support team across four homes within the local area. In this role, you will support our young people and be responsible for providing compassionate care during your time with them. This role also involves supporting the Registered Multi-Site Manager to run a successful staff team and to oversee the day to day operation of the homes.
Our benefits include...
Exclusive access to reward and discount scheme
Comprehensive induction
Commitment to your ongoing training and career progression
Pension scheme
Paid for enhanced DBS
Wellbeing support
Cycle to work scheme and more!
Based across the picturesque market towns of Trowbridge and Frome, our multi-site children's homes provide nurturing and support for up to 6 children and young people with a range of needs, including autism, mental health challenges, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and learning disabilities. The overall focus of the homes is to achieve positive outcomes for young people, we do this through multi agency working, personalised care planning and creating positive attachments.
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to build a meaningful career within a new team of like-minded and caring individuals, whilst empowering young people to develop within a safe and homely environment - preparing them for a bright future.
At Aspris Children's Services, we are immensely proud of the career pathway and training we can offer you. As long as you can demonstrate the values needed for a role within residential childcare, we will give you all the training and support you need to progress!
A Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential and Childcare is essential, as well as previous experience within a residential childcare setting along with the following characteristics:
Resilience - We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
Communication - Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
Organisation - As well as supervising the staff team, you'll need to be confident and organised in updating care plans and reporting information that will be relevant to the care of our young people.
Caring - Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.
Attentive - No young person is the same so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.
Above all, we provide a supportive and collaborative working environment where you can flourish in your career and feel incredibly rewarded by helping those who need it most.
If you want residential childcare to be a job for life, Aspris Children's Services will help you there.
