Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, Monday – Friday Term Time only on a rotating shift pattern, including some sleeping-in duties.
Shifts:
- Week 1:
- Mon: 12:30 -20:30 / Tue: 14:00-22:00 / Weds: 06:30-14:30 / Thurs: 14:00-22:00 / Fri: 06:30-12:30
- Week 2:
- Mon: 13:30-22:00 / Tue: 06:30-14:30 / Weds: 14:00-22:00 / Thurs: 06:30-14:30 / Fri: 06:30-12:30
- Understand and apply school policies regarding health, safety, welfare, confidentiality, dress code, and conflicts of interest.
- Attend meetings/trainings concerning individual pupils and/or general operations of the residential school.
- Work with individual or small groups of pupils in various activities on and off-site.
- Provide support to pupils with various learning and developmental difficulties in a therapeutic manner.
- Establish positive relationships with pupils and parents.
- Assist with pupils' personal needs including social, welfare, care, and health matters.
- Participate in home visits when necessary.
- Assist with the development and implementation of reports, care plans, and risk assessments.
- Administer prescribed medication under supervision.
- Use appropriate communication methods for pupils.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Monitor and record pupil responses and achievements.
- Operate and maintain specialist equipment.
- Carry out housekeeping duties and report maintenance needs.
- Liaise with staff and professionals.
- Escort pupils on offsite activities.
- Assist with physical activities like swimming.
- Undertake sleeping-in duties as required.
- Participate in performance management and professional development activities.
