Job description

A vacancy has arisen within our Health Board Resuscitation Services.
We are looking for a team leader that will join our team of 4 Resuscitation Officers, 1 Assistant Resuscitation Trainer and 1 Resuscitation Admin.
We are a team that is focused on providing a high quality, dynamic and responsive resuscitation service that supports the Health Board and the patients.
The team are passionate and adaptive in supporting the clinical team to enhance and improve their resuscitation skills both within the classroom and during their clinical duties.
Although the Resuscitation Officers are responsible for their own sites, they support the need to divert resources in response to any safety concerns.
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse/ ODP that is currently a U.K. Resuscitation Council Adult Advanced or Paediatric Life Support Instructor.
You must have a passion for leading on the delivery of a high- quality resuscitation service which is dedicated to improving patient safety and are proactive in delivering effective and high- quality mandatory and national courses, can promote practice that reflects National standards, and is able to be responsive to the changing hospital and community environment.
Work closely with the Senior Nurse for Resuscitation to ensure that the National and strategic direction is reflected in all of the teams workplans.
Provide senior advice to the multi professional teams in the field of Resuscitation.
Responsible for the leadership and management of the Resuscitation Training Team.
Plan, coordinate provide clinical supervision and participate in the delivery of a high- quality training programme to all levels of clinical staff.
Provide expert Resuscitation advice to all of the Health Board Resuscitation Groups. Support team members in providing accurate reports and their updated workplan in respect of quality improvement and clinical audit.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

48 general practices (six of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
