The Role: Senior Risk & Controls Analyst
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Risk Reporting Analyst to join our highly respected Risk, Assurance and Remediation team with our Life Division. This role will have a blended approach between working from home and our office in Stirling (2-3 days) and will support the Head of Reporting & Insight.
The role holder will be responsible for M&G Life first line risk reporting, ensuring governance requirements are suitably planned and executed to achieve the desired outcomes and meet the M&G plc expectations of first line accountabilities in maintaining and reporting on its control environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver insightful analysis of M&G Life risk metrics in order to inform M&G Life and entity level risk reporting.
  • Produce M&G Life Managing Director risk reporting for delivery to relevant Boards and Committees.
  • Monitor and assess M&G Life and entity Key Risk Indicators in order to produce insight driven Control Environment Assessments.
  • Analyse and assess entity level Top Risks to support the approval of entity Top Risk Report, identifying and communicating areas for escalation.
  • Define and develop automated risk reporting in order to challenge current processes, drive change and proactively realise opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide adhoc risk support to relevant M&G Life business areas as required
  • Build constructive and supportive working relationships with the wider M&G Life risk teams and liaise with other areas to assist in developing a coordinated approach to risk reporting.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
  • Knowledge of risk in financial services and experience with development and evolution of risk reporting
  • Curious and continually looking to seek out improvements and not just accepting the status quo
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to an Executive, Board and Committee level
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and is a critical evaluator of information/issues
  • Strong drive and delivery, committed to achieving results and delivering on time
