Our Gallagher Specialty team is looking for an experienced Risk Engineer to join their team and provide dedicated expertise to their downstream energy clients.
The role involves managing client Risk Engineering accounts of all sizes and complexity, and requires a detailed knowledge of the relevant industry sector.
Your goal will be to put the interests of the client and integrity of the insurance market at the core of the Risk Engineering business.
- Arrange individual Risk Engineering surveys through discussions with account teams, clients and market engineers
- Coordinate and manage the execution of surveys on a global basis to the satisfaction of clients
- Prepare marketing reports to assist in the placement of client insurance programmes
- Presentation of risk improvements and loss calculations
- Develop risk improvement recommendations, ensuring that proposed recommendations are clear and appropriate and are fairly balanced between the interests of the client and insurers
- Support broker teams at renewal meetings and provide Risk Engineering input
- Maintain Risk Engineering tracking tools such as schedules and planning spreadsheets
- Provide technical support to client/broking teams across a range of issues relating to good industry practices
- Support Gallagher Speciality new business production through new business tender response, meetings and presentations
- Maintain technical competency in specific industry sector and keep up-to-date with risk management developments
- Experience within a Risk Engineering role and the insurance industry
- Experience dealing with Downstream energy clients
- Ability to travel internationally
