Senior Safety Engineer

Role

Capgemini Engineering are currently seeking someone degree qualified, 10+ years experienced, Safety practitioner competent in maritime, and submarine systems to provide technical support to the Lead for Intrinsic Safety for combat systems.

Job Description

This involves support to: -

• Organising the team to review the product safety for each piece of equipment hosting and connected to the system.
• Conducting reviews of equipment.
• Advising on safety issues covering the equipment to be installed, operated, and maintained on board.
• Assist with the construction of the system’s Hazard Log in DOORS.
• Supporting supplier safety reviews of their equipment.
• Supporting the customer’s Combat Systems group with generic operational safety advice beyond the scope of the system.
