Senior Scientist Biostatistics

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Senior Biostatistics Scientist. This role focuses on the design, delivery and interpretation of preclinical studies, regulatory submissions and commercialisation. The ideal candidate will be able to independently perform and lead statistical work within multiple studies and may be recognised as a methodology expert. This role requires collaboration both internally and externally to ensure delivery to standards, quality and time.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a supporting or lead statistician for multiple studies, responsible for statistical elements of the design, analysis, interpretation and reporting.
• Quantify the benefit, risk, value and uncertainty of the emerging product profile.
• Develop design options and provide high-quality deliverables to support informed business decisions.
• Contribute to statistical methodology advances by identifying new opportunities, investigating and applying novel statistical approaches, including modelling and simulation.
• Ensure high quality in own and other statisticians' deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with standards and external regulations.
• Contribute to the development of best practices to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness within function.
• Plan and support team's project activities and tasks.
• Communicate and escalate risks within the assigned studies and/or projects.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• MSc/PhD in Statistics or Mathematics with experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Having a substantial statistical component within this is a necessity.
• Good programming skills.
• Proven understanding of the technical and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in the study and program design, development, data analysis and interpretation, as well as regulatory interactions and submissions.
• Be able to proactively manage concurrent activities within a study or project.
• Ability to apply novel statistical methods to problem solving and manage documentation as required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
