SalaryAs a Senior Scrum Master, you will contribute to the business improving agile practices by actively promoting collaboration behaviours and agile values whilst leading continuous improvement and applying previous experience and knowledge of best practices and agile delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuous Learning and Improvement:
- Coaches our development teams in the implementation of scrum and agile approaches.
- Contributes to building an environment where continuous improvement of all our development processes is in focus and actively try to identify areas in need of improvement.
- Facilitates learning through meetings and workshops.
- Actively involved in removing impediments & blockers for the team.
- Promotes confidence in the team in their capability to achieve success by different coaching techniques.
- Coaches and mentors other Scrum Masters.
- Demonstrates strategic direction of agile processes across the business.
- Assists the team engagement and obtains commitment to successfully deliver sprints.
- Fosters close working relationships across all scrum teams.
Facilitation:
- Facilitates 3-4 teams effectively.
- Facilitates team meetings and ceremonies such as daily stand ups, backlog discussions, requirements planning sessions, product reviews and demos, retrospectives, product and feature breakdown sessions, capacity planning and estimation sessions, etc.
- Facilitates discussions to create consensus agreement in the team.
Feedback and Reporting:
- Ensures progress on delivery is tracked and communicated to key stakeholders.
- Shows commercial acumen linking team metrics to business goals.
- Maintains and share information that provides insight into team capacity and throughput.
- Compiles all scrum team reports and circulates to management team.
- Reports insights to the Agile coach & management.
Technical competencies, knowledge & experience
Experience:
- Experience in the Scrum Master role for at least 5 years for a software development team
- Experience of working within an Agile Scrum environment.
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, team dynamics and conflict
- resolution.
- Previously working in a complex environment as instigator of change.
- Previous experience of leading onshore & offshore teams.
- Have demonstratable of driving change through influencing and coaching.
- Experience of facilitating scrum teams simultaneously.
- Being a passionate advocate of the scrum values.
Technical Skills:
- Can differentiate between Agile methodologies and agile frameworks.
- Experience working in a team in a methodology other than SCRUM (Lean, Kanban, XP etc)
- Scrum Master certification.
- Experience with working in teams in different frameworks for example, Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban.
- Advocate of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, TDD, DDD). Understand the basic fundamentals of product life cycle and software development.
