TITLE: Senior / Site Chemist - Hazardous Waste Management

LOCATION: Oxfordshire
ROLE: Senior / Site Chemist - Hazardous Waste Management
Taking and analysing Hazardous Waste samples including liquids (including acids, alkalis, oils, petrol, effluent, and diesel), coatings, paints, thinners.
Loading and unloading Hazardous Waste from vehicles
Leading a team (depending on experience)
Management of all relevant paperwork
Ensuring compliance within Safety, Environmental and Company policy
COSHH assessments
Preparation of processed waste streams for National Distribution
EXPERIENCE: Senior / Site Chemist - Hazardous Waste Management
You will have at least 1-2 Years for a chemist and 3-5 years’ experience for a Senior Chemist working in the Hazardous Waste Sector
You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication, and be competent in Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of directly interfacing with a client would be desirable.
YOU WILL HAVE a HNC in Chemistry or higher. Related Subjects e.g. Biology or Forensics will be considered ideally at Degree level where sufficient Chemistry modules were included
Qualifications that would be advantageous:
FLT License
WAMITAB COTC
IOSH of NEBOSH safety qualification or similar
