Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Site Engineer to join our team on a major scheme in the North West. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background, capable of overseeing all engineering aspects of the project to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all Site Engineering activities, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Coordinate with the project management team to plan and execute project phases effectively.
- Conduct site surveys, setting out, and ensure precise measurements and data collection.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of work.
- Liaise with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project progress.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including site reports, progress updates, and engineering logs.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on-site, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer, in a senior role on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using engineering software and tools, including CAD and project management software.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Valid CSCS card and relevant professional certifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
