As the bakery’s Senior Site Services & Facilities Manager, you’ll be
- Responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair and overall functionality of all Site Services and facilities at the food manufacturing site, including HVAC, heating systems, fire alarms, DAF plant, landscaping etc.
- Ensuring that the site operates smoothly, efficiently and safely whilst adhering to all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Evaluate equipment to determine effective preventative maintenance strategy.
- Leading, training and developing a team of facilities and maintenance professionals
- Responsible for contractor management.
- You will prepare and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources; identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Developing and implementing sustainability and energy-saving initiatives, staying updated on best practices and trends
- Coordinating with external contractors and service providers along with other bakery departments to support production and operational goals.
Do you offer?
- Possession of a formal engineering qualification, equivalent to City & Guilds level, NVQ level 3, or similar in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, complemented by practical hands-on experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in both electrical and mechanical maintenance fields.
- Previous experience acquired within a food manufacturing environment is preferred, with an emphasis on possessing a food hygiene qualification. However, engineers with substantial experience in any fast-paced manufacturing setting will be considered.
- Comprehensive understanding and application of safe working practices and relevant legislation, where applicable.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, symbols, and notations for clear understanding.
- Previous use of computerised maintenance management systems, particularly familiarity with SAP.
- Track record of employing continuous improvement techniques and successfully implementing them in engineering practices.
- Strong knowledge of facilities management best practices, building systems, and maintenance procedures.
- Proven experience in managing budgets and financial resources.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
