We are currently working with an authority who are looking for a Social Worker to join the Child Protection Team in the picturesque county of Devon, where they are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Devon offers a stunning natural environment, from beautiful coastlines to serene countryside, providing a wonderful backdrop to a fulfilling career.
The Role:
As a Senior Social Worker in our Child Protection Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and protecting children and their families. You will work with a team of passionate professionals dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Lead complex child protection cases, ensuring effective intervention and planning.
Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to determine needs and risks.
Safeguarding: Implement and monitor safeguarding plans, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
Support: Provide guidance and support to junior Social Workers and other team members.
Advocacy: Represent the child's best interests in meetings, conferences, and court proceedings.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with legal and organisational standards.

As this is a statutory role you are required to have a Social Work qualification and full registration to SWE.
