A Senior Social Worker is required for the Support and Protection Team in Rochdale.

Advanced Practitioners are vital in our service and support our Social Workers and the Team Managers in the operational management of the team. Advanced Practitioners support us with the performance and quality of the service and this is a great opportunity to enhance and build management skills while continuing to work with children and families with a reduced caseload.

Rochdale is currently in an exciting transition into the family safeguarding model. To support us in this transition we need to establish multi-disciplinary teams where specialist practitioners are co-located with Social Workers under a unified management structure. This enables a multi-disciplinary whole family response through direct assessment. This is a really exciting time for Rochdale and we need Advanced Practitioners to support us in implementing this model.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Previous in Child Protection
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
