VIGO have partnered with a leading Controls and Automation Business who are growing! They are looking to bolster their design team with a Senior Software Design Engineer. The company have a brilliant culture and this position offers a wide variety of work given that they work across all sectors!
Your Mission
As a Senior Software Design Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that thrives on the daily challenges of delivering projects swiftly. In this senior role, you will lead the design and implementation of control system software solutions, playing a key role in understanding and fulfilling customer specifications. Your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership and mentoring other team members. The work will range from simple HMI solutions thought to more complex systems with Variable Frequency Drive systems.
You will collaborate with customers to understand the requirements of each machine, working within specific time frames and budgets. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a diverse range of projects and can quickly adapt to new platforms and products.
The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Software Design and development capacity
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering or Similar
• Experience in designing and implementing mission critical systems (Large to small)
• Stellar Communication skills
• Must have experience in PLC’s Siemens, and Rockwell, HMI and Scada
• Experience with Eplan is desirable along with some SQL
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Software Design and development capacity
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Software Design and development capacity
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Software Design and development capacity
• Can systematically diagnose and address technical issues.
• A team player, but can work independently with ease.
• Possession of a valid UK driving license.
