Description
Senior Software Engineer
- Design, code, test and manage various applications
- Collaborate with engineering team and product team to establish best products
- Be accountable for all aspects of software development from design to coding, testing, and debugging
- Monitor and improve system performance and stability
- Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
- Document development phases and monitor systems
- Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies
- Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues
Profile
Senior Software Engineer
A successful Senior Software Engineer should have:
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related qualification
- A minimum of 7 years proven experience in similar roles within the Financial Services industry
- Strong development background working with Algorithmic systems / Trade / Post- trade technologies would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as: Java, Python, C++
- Java, SQL Server, Postgres, Angular, Spring, Docker.
- Unix shell scripting.
- Messaging technologies such as: Solace, JMS & Kafka.
- GitLab source control, CI/CD.
- DevOps.
- Software design and development in a test-driven / BDD environment.
- Knowledge of databases, system design and networking.
- A creative problem-solving approach and strong communication skills.
- Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude coupled with focus and follow-through.
Job Offer

- An estimated salary range of £90,000 - £120,000 per annum - Dependent on experience.
