About the team

The Financial Services (FS) PU is responsible for designing, building, changing, and running technology across all our financial products and functions. It supports Account Management, Credit Risk, Fraud, Collections and Recoveries, Customer Payments, Insurance and Retail Credit Products, and will help drive future expansion into new FS products including Personal Loans.

About the role

  • Design and implementation REST-based APIs to expose FS functionality to our customers using Java, containers on ECS & React JS.  
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Unit, BDD & Performance testing of the application, peer review and documentation. 
  • Lead the development of selected solutions and integrations.  
  • Support the planning, Epic & Technical story writing and delivery structure the development efforts.  

About you

  • Proven experience with setting up, building, and maintaining microservices architectures using continuous integration & continuous delivery practices.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.  
  • Experience of working with REST-based APIs and integrations with third party systems.  
  • Solid understanding of scaling, monitoring, and logging when using cloud services for building applications.  
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP) and infra-as-code solutions like Terraform.  
  • Understanding of frontend patterns and frameworks e.g. MVC, MVVM patterns, HTML5/CSS3.
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
