Form of workRandstad are working on behalf of a client in Malvern who are on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer. The company are in the security products industry and work on a range of detection devices. Ideally, they are looking for someone with extensive experience in software development, demonstrating proficiency in a range of languages including Python, Java, and C++. The role will be on site in the Malvern office.
Responsibilities include participation in software planning, conducting thorough code reviews, and devising thorough test plans. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the MLOps team, tasked with deploying machine learning models on specialized systems like Nvidia Jetson.
Key Responsibilities;
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
* Utilize Python, Java, C++, and other programming languages to develop scalable and software applications, following best practices and design patterns.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, create software specifications, and develop comprehensive project plans.
* Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards. Provide constructive feedback to team members to foster continuous improvement.
* Ensure software compatibility across Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms, addressing platform-specific nuances and optimizing user experience for each platform.
* Collaborate with the MLOps team to deploy machine learning models on non- embedded systems, including Nvidia Jetson systems. Manage model deployment, monitoring, and optimization in production environments.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on leading and executing projects in a product development team.
* Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, and other programming languages as applicable.
* Experience in software planning, project management, and Agile methodologies.
* Solid understanding of Windows and Linux with the ability to troubleshoot platform- specific issues. Knowledge of macOS is a plus.
* Knowledge of mobile app development frameworks and platforms (e.g., iOS SDK, Android SDK) is a plus.
* Experience in MLOps, including deploying machine learning models on non-embedded systems such as Nvidia Jetson systems.
