Vision Personnel is working with an existing client who is searching for a Senior PV Engineer to cover the area's of Plymouth, Exeter, Bath, Bristol, Taunton, Swindon, Gloucestershire, Newport and Cardiff.
The client would consider taking on a qualified electrician with NVQ level 3 and Test & Inspect (C&G 2391), without solar experience with the idea of training them up.
Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ qualification in Electrical Installations.
C&G 2382-18
C&G 2391-52 or equivalent
HV AP qualification
Harness Trained (desirable, but training provided if required)
First Aid Trained
Fire Marshal
H/S IOSH qualification (desirable, but training provided if required)
Central Inverter manufacturer provided training qualifications
Knowledge of maintenance procedures and ability to follow maintenance schedules
Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems such as AC distribution boards, AC & DC combiner boxes, automation panels, etc.
Knowledge of CCTV systems and SCADA systems
Knowledge of High Voltage systems, from 33kV, in terms of switching operations and maintenance
Good working knowledge of industry instruments and testing equipment such as Digital Multimeters, Amp clamp-meters, insulation resistance testers etc.
3+ Year in Solar PV O&M both ground mount and roof top installations
Key responsibilities
Routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems
Complying with company procedures
Performing Preventative Maintenance accordingly with the PPM annual plan
Performing Corrective Maintenance as occurs
Reporting of activities performed on site, upon any site visit and on a daily basis, through online reporting system.
Job specific risk assessment, analysis and operational limitations. Report all near misses to manager
Supervision and coordination of third-party contractors carrying out works on site
Coordinate third party contractors to comply with H&S Regulations
Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, that are suitable for audit
Fault finding of both AC and DC systems.
Alert the manager of any issues
Comply with all required fire, health and safety requirements for the environment in which you are working, including making yourself aware of the current applicable policies and risk assessments and acting accordingly, and attending any required training. Any other reasonable task as requested by a Manager within the company
Occasional nights away if and when required.
Weekend rota when trained on remote monitoring systems ( Additional pay ).

W/E rota once Trained , 2 weekends per month earning 6K per annum
