Senior Solutions Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer to join our clients expanding team, to provide external Infrastructure to companies who need to to expand outside of their localised internal space.

You will be responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience from planning, designing, installing and supporting customer infrastructures.

Requirements

• 6+ years of customer support experience in a similar role
• Linux System Administration: Advanced knowledge of installation and administration.
• Knowledge in SAN and NAS storage.
• Working knowledge of scripting (BASH, Python) is beneficial
• Strong technical knowledge of VMware virtualisation technologies
• Configuration and Support of Active Directory
• Experience with deploying and troubleshooting highly scalable systems
• Exposure/understanding of containers / Docker - an advantage
• Network troubleshooting and enterprise platform experience
• Ability to identify issues, analyse complex situations and provide a clear status on issues
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement service and system improvements and upgrades
• Excellent customer facing communication skills
• Ability to multitask and flexibility for on-call out of hours rotations
• Strong work ethic and a team player
• Strong technical instinct when dealing with customer issues and escalations
• Enjoy learning new things

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated customer support via email, and customer portal requests using our support CRM
• Troubleshoot customer system errors and complex technical problems
• Log, track, respond, prioritise, and resolve issues
• Work with team to meet or exceed SLA commitments
• Handle critical issues, determining the need for escalations
• Project manage and participate in the installation and deployment of customer systems
• Update support Wiki and knowledge base content
