Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Role Overview

I am currently working with an Exciting Multi-National manufacturing organisation who are investing heavily into their Procurement function and want to add an additional professional to the team.

My client is looking for a Senior Sourcing Manager or Previously Category Manager/Senior Buyer who has category knowledge across Capex, MRO and Engineering spare parts to put strategies in place across the board to overall improve supplier strategy, reduce costs and give greater visibility to the company's stakeholders for the longer term.

This will include execution of strategic sourcing using market research and cost analysis to identify and contract with best fit suppliers, and their ongoing supplier management, to ensure supply assurance of materials and services meeting quality standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Spend analysis of assigned categories to identify sourcing and/or negotiation opportunities and to deliver Supplier Segmentation classification.
• Develop and deliver the annual strategic sourcing plan, and benefits initiatives, inclusive of required stakeholder management.
• Cost Standards setting in support of budgeting purchase price variance (PPV) analysis.
• Represent function or assigned category in relevant meetings with a focus on achieving integrated supply chain or Business Services and lowest total cost/whole life costing outcomes.
• Undertake and keep abreast of market research for assigned categories, demonstrating capacity and cost driver understanding for key materials and suppliers/industries.
• Supplier management including forecasting provision for capacity and supply assurance and placing outline agreements, framework orders or specific orders as required.
• Deliver and support supplier performance data capture, for assigned categories to deliver scorecards and continuous improvement in line with supplier segmentation.

Requirements

• Strategic Sourcing experience.
• Negotiation plan development and execution.
• Market research for supply market analysis and 'should cost'.
• RFx, e-auction experience.
• Influencing, persuasion skills with internal stakeholders.
• Good word and powerpoint skills, and excellent skills.

• Manufacturing or Engineering experience.
• Strategic Sourcing experience with strong supplier skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communicator at all levels, internally and externally.
• Analytically adept and numerically sound.
