Job title: Senior Specialists – Aerodynamics
Location: Warton, Brough or Prestwick

Salary: £45,326 + depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
Each of the roles will provide the future generation of aerodynamic subject matter expertise in one or more of the following specific aerodynamics skills areas:
• Flight Control Law Development
• Flight Mechanics, Stability & Control
• Air Data System Aerodynamics
• Aerostructures (Dynamic Aerodynamic Loads, Flutter, Buffet & Aero-servo-elastics)
• Near Field Acoustics & Vibration
• Configuration Aerodynamic Design
• Computational Fluid Dynamics & Design Optimisation
• Stores Release and Jettison Modelling
• Aerodynamic Methods Development
Your main responsibilities will involve:
• Aerodynamics support to the wide range of BAE Systems current and future AIR products
• Aerodynamics related research, design, computational analysis, testing and flight clearance for complex air vehicles
• Aerodynamics Toolset Development & Digital Transformation
Your skills and experiences:
· Bachelors/master’s degree level qualification in a STEM subject
· Solid post graduate experience in the Aerodynamics domain in a research or industrial environment, with a relevant specialist aerodynamics knowledge for aeronautical applications
· Postgraduate (PhD) qualification or equivalent research in an aeronautical related area is preferred
· Experience of working with customers, suppliers, partners, researchers
· Well-developed interpersonal, communication and team skills

Aerodynamics (part of Airframe Engineering) team:
As a member of the Aerodynamics discipline working in the Flight Sciences capability, you will have a unique opportunity to support current and future projects including FCAS and Tempest. This role will provide you with opportunity to develop your future career with BAE Systems.
