£65,000 - £70,000 + bonus + remote working + benefits

Fully Remote - UK Wide

Senior SQL Database Developer is required to join an existing software devlopment team who are offering fully remote working to anyone based in the UK. The Senior SQL Database Developer will be responsible for the design, problem-solving and development of new functionality to support product evolution of an enterprise back-office system with a huge data set. You will be working primarily in the database but will needs to understand the .Net data to support the application development teams. The Senior SQL Database Developer will collaborate with the wider development team to drives the technical and functional direction of the database to support the wider business in product development, process strategy, product maintenance and release management. You will likely have skills in the following areas.

Key Skills

• 5+ years Senior Database Development experience
• Data modelling and database design
• SQL server architecture
• SQL server database engine (2019+)
• T-SQL
• Jira
• Stored procedures, triggers, and functions
• Database backup, restore and recovery processes
• Basic understanding of .Net and C#
• Technical documentation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey information to non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Skills

• Azure
• Data warehousing
• SQL Server Architecture
• SQL Server on Azure VM

• Advanced techniques such as partitioning, filtered indexes, and replication.

• vb.net (small part of the role is to support a legacy part of the system)

The role is offering a starting salary 65-70k per annum + fully remote working + bonus + strong benefits package.
