We have an exciting opportunity in our Clacton clinic for a nurse who wants to make a difference in our patient’s lives and take on the role of Senior Nurse. You will provide patient care according to Diaverum procedures with the aim to increase the quality of life for our patients. A comprehensive professional training programme will be provided to you, including on-the-job training, e-learning and access to our in-house education programme‘d Academy’.
Our senior nurses are responsible for undertaking the role of Nurse in Charge and when required deputise for the clinic manager; provide a mentorship approach to the team, empowering patients, qualified nurses and other staff to share knowledge and skills. You will take ownership of care prorammes for renal patients and perform patient assessments throughout treatment ensuring ‘great care’ is provided at all times. Further responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing and monitoring dialysis machines and systems in line with Diaveurm processes; reviewing pre and post haemodialysis care with patients and participate in quality and service improvement programmes.
REQUIREMENTS:
• NMC Registered General Nurse
• Strong experience in a renal dialysis setting (2 years+)
• Awareness and Understanding of NMC code of professional conduct
• In possession of/or working towards a post registration clinical course in Renal Nursing (ENB 136 or equivalent)
• Ideally have a Mentorship/Teaching Qualification
• Have a positive and dynamic approach to providing safe and effective delivery of care
• Excellent communication skills
WHAT WE OFFER:
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Saturday, Shifts hours from 7am to 11:30pm and please note that there are no nights or Sunday working
Competitive Salary of up to £41,759 depending on experience
