Fixed Term contract 12 months
Hours: 37.5 per week, Mon - Fri between 8am - 7pm

Brilliant opportunity for a Senior Staff Nurse to join the Chemo Day Unit at The Christie Private Care - Manchester
The Role:
As a Senior Staff Nurse for our chemo day care unit, you will be responsible for working in a supporting experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to ensure that patients are cared for in a safe, caring and comfortable environment. This will include meeting their medical, physical and emotional needs by effectively communicating with the patient and their families
This post is instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are delivered. To be an advocate for the patient, working within the multidisciplinary team. Day to day smooth running of the unit working together with other clinical areas to ensure safe patient flow. Ensure high levels of professional behaviour are adhered to at all times.

Requirements:
- NMC registered Nurse
- Experienced/competent in Chemotherapy administration
- Clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation and the administration of intravenous drugs.
- Wide and evidence-based knowledge of systemic anti-cancer treatments e.g. chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy etc and the known and lesser-known side effects of these
The Unit:
Leaders in Oncology Care at The Christie is a day case chemotherapy unit situated with in the Christie Hospital in Manchester. The unit has 12 treatment chairs where we administer a number of different chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments for both oncology and haematology patients. We are a consultant lead unit and have close contact with consultants and clinical nurse specialists when planning and administering treatments.
