About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Stakeholder and Public Affairs Manager to join the Corporate Communications department. This is a newly created role with the scope to drive forward new initiatives. Working in a high-performing, fast paced environment, you will ensure our work supports the brand and reputation of Edge Hill University.
You will be responsible for:
• Providing strategic direction and supporting the Executive team and the University in driving forward engagement with the political, public policy, economic, skills and civic agenda regionally and nationally.
• Enhancing the University’s reputation and presence in national public policy and higher education sector issues
• Developing the University's Public Affairs Strategy, with a proven track record of influencing positive engagement with political and civic stakeholders.

About You
As Senior Stakeholder and Public Affairs Manager, you will have:
• Excellent understanding of the political landscape and government policy at national, regional and local level, with experience of working within or closely with the UK government and/or local or general government
• A proven track record of influencing positive engagement with political and civic stakeholders and solid knowledge of effective methods of communication with a range of external stakeholder audiences.
• Experience of producing high-quality Public Affairs insight and analysis providing easy to understand briefings to others with strong analytical skills.
