Senior storage Engineer

*Must be sole British national and eligible for SC clearance*

Job Functions:

- Experience working with Pure Storage, SAN and NAS.

-Provide second and third level technical support on incidents and problems.

-Provide one-touch resolution for all types of incident and levels of severity escalating where necessary.

-Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality.

-Create and maintain documentation.

-Automate and improve where possible.

-Proactively look for risks and problems and make sure they get fixed.

-Assist to build compliance with process and policies.

-This role would include the creation of LLD artefacts to support project delivery.

Skills and experience:

-Must be highly skilled in storage hardwares.

-Competent working with high-level programming languages (Eg. Python, PHP, Bash), distributed file systems, network protocols and data storage applications

-Great analytical and troubleshooting skills with an eye for detail.

-Learn and attain thorough knowledge of company products and offerings.

-Provide improvements to current working practices and technologies.

-Upgrade, implement, monitor policies, and procedures to ensure steady storage provisioning, protection of data, and adherence to compliance.

-Provide support and training to various engineers where required.

-Diagnose and remove performance issues.

-Experience in solution architecture would be advantageous.

Desirable knowledge/experience:

-Change Management and Implementation within an Enterprise Environment.

-Backup Technologies such as; NetBackup, DataProtector, Tape Libraries.
