SalaryWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Stress Engineer to undertake stress analysis and FEA work using ANSYS on rotating equipment subject to heavy component loading.
Working as part of a team you will conduct simulations to determine performance.

Responsibilities (non-exhaustive)
- Carry out analysis project work.
- Undertake analysis tasks (FEA, System Analysis, Rotor Dynamics for example) as required to support projects.
- Contribute to the establishment, validation and maintenance of analysis procedures.
- Support manufacturing and purchasing concession requests.
- Provide support to the Engineering Managers and Tet Engineering Team.
- Provide critique of analytical and design proposals to ensure product integrity.
- Provide customer facing support as required.
- Create engineering analysis cost estimations.
Knowledge and experience
- In-depth knowledge of structural analysis techniques, including fatigue analysis to the level required for component certification by outside bodies.
- In-depth knowledge and hands on experience of the use of FEA software.
- The ability to critically review analysis work and correct where necessary.
- Knowledge of shafts, bearings, thermal response, noise and vibration and some basic tribology.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and design protocols (ISO, AGMA, DIN, FKM, DNV for example) (preferred).
- Ability to perform complex hand calculations from first principles.
- Knowledge of rotordynamic analysis.
