Job description

Senior Stress EngineerOxfordshire – Hybrid Working available.
Senior Stress Engineer required by a pioneering force in the clean energy industry, dedicated to the delivery of high-performance, cost-efficient, zero-emissions power systems, with a focus on sustainability.
As Senior Stress Engineer, you’ll work within the stress analysis team to provide structural analysis, aid conceptual direction, and develop toolsets/methodologies. You will support project teams to fulfil customer requirements/deliverables and interact directly with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities will incorporate:
Provide project pre-contract/ kick-off representation as the main point of contact and independent running of large/complex projects.Aid concept direction through feasibility and early-stage analysis.Present/report/discuss analysis results and participate in design reviews.Detailed analysis of simulation results and creation of comprehensive post-processing.Create/develop/run stress analysis simulations:
Implicit analysis in response to service loads; Explicit analysis in response to crash requirements; Modal and frequency response simulation; Fatigue analysis/calculation
About you:
Degree qualified in mechanical/automotive/aerospace engineering.Extensive experience in stress simulation – 1+ of Implicit analysis (Altair OPTISTRUCT); explicit analysis (Altair RADIOSS/LS-Dyna); Fatigue analysis (nCode/FEMFAT)Experience in the automotive/aerospace/motorsport industryAdvantageous/beneficial:
Knowledge of running non-linear analysis and practical experience in physical testing.Experience in the analysis of metallic & composite structuresWorking knowledge of TeamCentre/ CATIA V5/ Siemens NX.In return for the above, company pension contributions, business/personal performance bonus, life assurance, and group income protection are all offered, with other salary sacrifice benefits also available.
