Overview

Our client is actively recruiting a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their Structures Team. They are involved in diverse projects across sectors such as Residential, Commercial, Education, Aviation, Healthcare, Energy, and This presents an excellent opportunity for engineers aiming to progress in their careers within a leading team in the industry. The team boasts extensive expertise across all facets of the built environment, with professionals possessing decades of experience.

Requirements

• BEng/MEng Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Preferably, hold or be actively pursuing chartership with professional bodies such as ICE, IStructE, or their equivalents.
• Proficient in designing various structures following Eurocodes, including foundations, masonry, concrete, steel, and timber, with experience in both traditional and modern residential construction.
• Commercially aware with expertise in project financial management, client development, and engagement in project appointment processes.
• Proven track record in structural investigations for low-rise residential, medium-rise residential, and commercial properties.
• Familiarity with Tekla software, specifically Tekla Designer and Tedds, and ideally, Autocad/Revit.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable with autonomy, with a keen interest in driving innovation.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership in management of the structural engineering team
• Manage projects independently, including financial responsibilities.
• Lead and manage staff, coordinate with consultants.
• Contribute to team development.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Conduct site visits and oversee structural surveys and repairs for various issues, from fires to foundation problems.
