The Client:

Our client is a well-established engineering firm, delivering consultancy services across wide range of projects, including commercial, residential, art & bespoke structures.

The Role:

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be overseeing diverse projects from conception to completion, covering residential, commercial, public, educational, and temporary works design.

Responsibilities:

-Develop conceptual and feasibility stage designs, providing comprehensive reports and DTM presentations.
-Independently review detail designs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
-Evaluate contractor tender submissions, offering valuable suggestions to clients.
-Conduct regular site visits during structural construction stages for safety and design adherence.
-Cultivate strong client and architect relationships, actively participating in project proposals and fee reviews.
-Offer leadership and guidance to a team of professionals, including graduate engineers and technicians.
-Conduct technical training sessions to enhance the skills of the team.

Requirements:

-Previously worked as a Structural Engineer or in a similar role.
-At least 5 years of Structural Engineering experience in a UK / European practice with similar project profiles.
-At least 3 years of experience in designing residential structures using various traditional building materials.
-Chartered with the ICE or IStructE.
-Strong background in residential projects.
-Possess commercial and large-scale project experience.
-Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.
-Skilled in AutoCAD, with experience in Eurocode.
-Possess conceptual design skills, including 3D expertise.
