Senior Support Worker – £13.18 ph to £14.32 (DOE)

We're excited to be opening a brand new Children's Home called 'Clann Dion' - a beautiful home located in Rand, just outside of Wragby, LN8.
We're also excited to launch our new flexible working contract. Our new contract will have no set shift pattern, you'll agree your 40 hours per week with your manager, at least 4 weeks ahead. You will elect to work either 5 x 8 hour shifts or 4 x 10 hour shifts per week across a variety of times and days to suit the needs of the business and the people we support - giving you the flexibility to strike a genuine work/life balance whilst pursuing a truly rewarding career at Kisimul. (Part-time shifts also available).
As a Senior Life Practitioner you will be an integral part of the family at Clann Dion, no two shifts are the same but here is a brief overview of what your duties may look like:
- Working with all levels of the Staff Team to safeguard our young people at all time.
Assisting the Registered Manager to utilise staff to ensure that shifts run smoothly and with appropriate numbers. - Oversee medication administration in line with Individual Pupil Care Plan (IPCP)
Maintaining clear and accurate records including leading on care planning and producing reports as required. - Chairing regular staff meetings and handover meetings and ensuring that all relevant information is disseminated appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Working with the Training Department to promote the importance of training and support individuals to complete relevant qualifications through regular supervisions.
- Creating positive relationships with the young people and offering them unconditional dignity and respect.
- Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young people.
Ensuring that the needs of the young person are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
What do we need from you?
Here at Kisimul, out fantastic training, induction and mentor programmes mean that we can teach you all you need apart from:
- A Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care (ideal, but not essential)
- Leadership experience, preferably within Children's Services.
- A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
- A strong team player
- Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support if needed

Week 1: Monday + Tuesday + Saturday + Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday + Thursday + Friday
